Q&A

What is Reflections?
Basically it is an awesome way for your kiddo to participate in an extracurricular activity involving the arts.  Just think how good that will look on their resume!  Considering the fact that the arts in general are becoming more and more scarce in our school system {merely stating a fact, not looking to argue or get on a soapbox} the Reflections program allows the children to explore their creativity, display their artwork, and build confidence.

Why are the rules so ridiculously long?
Meticulous is the word I like to use for such amazing legal jargon such as the rules and guidelines for Reflections.  There are a number of reasons for rules.  First, we need rules to govern such a large program.  Second, there needs to be an even playing field.  Rules help us achieve that.  Third, that legal jargon I mentioned earlier actually holds water.  Some artwork could possibly infringe on copyright laws such as video, choreography, photo.  Don't you worry...there's a rule for that so your kiddo can dance to "Happy" without getting sued.

What is the theme this year?
The theme is "The world would be a better place if..."  So here is my thinking, that could be anything.  I think the world would be a better place if chocolate had no calories, everyone said please and thank you, and the traffic lights were always green for me.  Let your kids explore it.  It can be fun, thoughtful, insightful, or something goofy like they wish every mountain on the planet was made of chocolate fudge and topping with whipped cream.

How much time do we have?
You have all the time in the world or until November 3, 2014 at 5:00pm.  Whichever comes first.
